basic AF

Labor Day has *almost* passed and you know what that means to this basic AF girl….pumpkins, fall leaves, candles….Happy Fall Y’all.

I spent the afternoon bringing my embarrassing large collection of miniature pumpkins out to decorate every surface. πŸŽƒ πŸ‚πŸ

All the while, ignoring my husband’s eye rolls while I lit pumpkin candles cheerfully. πŸ•―

#qotd: What’s your favorite season? Do you decorate early or are you a strict season decorator?

I’ve been wanting to read this hot little number for a little while now. The day is here! πŸ§¨πŸ’ƒπŸΌ

πŸ“š: Ugly Love by @colleenhoover

I’m extra excited because a few of my grad school classmates and I decided to do a little book club and this was our first choice. We will give you the 411 when it’s all said and done. πŸ’πŸΌ‍♀️

#qotd: Are you a member of a book club? Thoughts? Do you love it or does it make you feel pressured to read it fast? 🧐

So I have a thing for mysteries and thrillers. I LOVE a good whodunnit. But what I really love is when I don’t know “whodunnit” until the very bitter end. πŸ™ƒ

My husband always knows when I’ve found one of these precious gems when I talk/yell out loud while reading. “WHAT??” Or “NO FREAKING WAY”. Those finds are the bees’ knees.

#QOTD: What is your favorite genre and are you willing to try different genres?

Stay spooooooky, friends. πŸ’€

In the mood for a dark and twisty thriller?? Ya girl has the answer to you prayers.

You Can Never Tell written by Sarah Warburton

I was gifted this book in the audiobook format from Dreamscape Media and NetGalley.

I always say that I prefer actual books over audiobooks but sometimes, it just makes sense to go the audio route. This is one of those that will keep your attention, even in the audiobook format!

Anyway, on to my thoughts on the book.

In short, I loved this book! I love a good, dark and twisty story that takes me through unexpected ups and downs and completely turns everything on it's head by the end!

By the end of the book, I was a little overwhelmed with thoughts of "WHAT?!"and "WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE??" in the best and worst kind of way.

I would recommend this book for anyone that is in the mood for a dark mystery that resembles the style of Ruth Ware and Lucy Foley.

Do you prefer audiobooks, e-books or paperbacks/hardbacks?

This book is out now so go and get you a copy in whatever format your little heart desires. You can get this book off my amazon wishlist I created to help guide all of you to the books I have my eye on.

Stay nerdy friends,
dayday

*Book Review* The Court Of Thorns and Roses

The Court of Thorns and Roses book review

Ahem, my professional, fancy literary opinion is: OMG I LOVED IT AND I TOTALLY THOUGHT I WOULD HATE IT. I am hooketh.

If I had read this review a month ago I’d be like nahhhh boo, thanks, I’m not into all the fantastical bookish things. Gimme all the crime, thrillers, mystery…

BUT I have been converted, Hallelujah! πŸ™Œ Thank you, Cauldron. ✨🌹

I was pulled in right away and felt like I could escape from this boring ole measly mortal life for a bit and maybe meet a high fae on my morning hunt in the woods. I mean, it could happen.

If you like: Hunger Games, outlander, Harry Potter and/or Game of thrones but you’re STILL like me and thought nahhh hun, I don’t like fantasy…you may be missing out… ✨

Have you read this book?
Thoughts?
If not, have I convinced you yet???

Oh and p.s. parental guidance is advised 🀣😬
